Last week, I had the privilege of attending the f8 Developer’s Conference in San Francisco. Facebook introduced several new features that will revolutionize the platform, and I’m excited to see them unveiled in the coming weeks. A sampling of what’s coming includes:
- Open Graph – an algorithm that plots and reacts to your actions on the web, and then tailors your Facebook experience to you.
- Verbs – in addition to “Like,” users will now have the ability to mark content they “Watched,” “Want,” and “Recommend.
- Timelines – a redesign that accounts for your photos, likes, major events, and more and then turns Profiles into chronological scrapbooks.
How ShortStack will integrate these changes into our platform remains to be seen, but our developers are meeting and discussing the possibilities. We’re looking forward to the changes, and we’re confident that Facebook’s new features, combined with the interactive power of ShortStack’s Widgets will continue to help you engage your Fanbase like never before!
Stay tuned!
