Masterminds is the mastermind behind this tab. If you'd like to learn more about them, click here.
The base for this app is the sub-tabs template, which allows you to create content that is revealed by clicking links, giving the appearance that the app contains multiple pages. It’s pretty simple to use, and can be applied in a variety of ways.
This app also uses our visibility settings for the fan reveal. By clicking the visibility icons for each widget, you can decide which widgets fans see, and which widgets non-fans see. There’s some animation going on in the non-fan image, which was done with custom CSS and our Code Widget. To view how the app looked in the non-fan state, please click here.
The hover effect for the sub tab links was also done using custom CSS. Don’t know CSS? We’ve got you covered. We have some great CSS tutorials in our help docs, and we also feature CSS tips and tricks in our weekly newsletters.
The app is set to start showing “About the Contest,” which is one Image Widget with a couple of hotspots for links.
The functionality for the "Build Your Icon" section was built outside of ShortStack, and brought in with the IFrame Widget. Users can select images, make their own icon, and save it to their desktop. It’s a really creative use of the IFrame Widget, and works great with the rest of the app.
