Holiday

This week we’re highlighting one of our most popular templates -- the Holiday Giveaway Calendar! Below you’ll find three examples of brands using the template in unique ways. This template is available to anyone who is on a paid plan. (If you’d like to see a demo of how you could build a campaign of your own -- or have our team build one for you -- just send us a quick email and we’ll schedule a demo with one of our campaign strategists.) The bonus campaign example included in this week’s showcase uses our Photo Contest template, which is available to all users.Let’s get to it!

The Book of Mormon - Melbourne “#MormonChristmas” Calendar

Want to use the Holiday Calendar template, but not sure how to incorporate your own branding? Changing the appearance of the calendar is really easy! The “#MormonChristmas” calendar from The Book of Mormon does a great job of customizing the basic template with the help of our Holiday Calendar Hacks. The Book of Mormon folks utilize the hacks for closing a day once it has passed, and for replacing the number boxes on the calendar with images. I also love that when you click the active day, a fun animation from the musical plays.

Stowford Press’s Holiday Giveaway Calendar

Stowford Press’s calendar is sure to inspire folks looking to update the layout of their calendar. They reduced the size of the boxes a bit and placed the calendar beside an image of their product. Also, each day’s popup includes Stowford Press branding, as well as an engaging quiz question to answer each day. The quiz question keeps things interesting for people entering the contest each day, because asking them to enter their name and email address over and over again might feel a bit repetitive.IDEA - Add extra days to your calendar. The template comes with 12 days, but why not add more to keep people engaged for a long period of time? Here’s a hack to help you add extra days.

Boa Lingua’s Advent Calendar

Don’t have time for a bunch of customization? Don’t worry! Boa Lingua created a fantastic looking Advent calendar where they changed the header image, some links and a bit of custom CSS to update the appearance of the template to fit their branding. Another unique aspect of this Campaign is their use of sponsors for each day’s prizes. It’s a great way to get a lot of brands involved. Here's some information about Updating Appearance of Calendar Days.

Bonus: Alexandra Retail Centre’s “Crack a Smile, Snap a Photo & Get the Christmas Gifting Crackin’!” Photo Contest

If a holiday calendar isn’t quite your style, don’t worry! We have plenty of other options, such as a Photo Contest. One of my favorites is the “Crack a Smile, Snap a Photo & Get the Christmas Gifting Crackin’!” contest from ARC. To enter, users need to snap a photo with a nutcracker decoration at ARC, then submit their photo via the form. What a smart way to get people in the door!
